About Renata

I began practicing yoga in 2010, as a way to stay flexible and keep my spine healthy after being diagnosed with scoliosis. As well as reaping its physical benefits, I was drawn towards the mental spaciousness and emotional respite that yoga provided. Since then, yoga has been a constant.

Between 2019 and 2021, I undertook the rigorous 350 hour, BWY and Yoga Alliance certified Triyoga teacher training programme, under Anna Ashby, Tony Watson, Chris Swain and Daniel Simpson. While having qualified as a teacher, I remain a lifelong student. I am indebted to and grateful for everything that my teachers have taught and continue to teach me, in particular Anna Ashby and Aki Omori.

As well as seeking to transmit and foster many of its physical benefits, such as strength and mobility, I’m compelled to teach yoga so that I can inspire others to engage in their own process of self-enquiry and discovery. Through yoga, I hope to enable and empower my students to navigate their experience with skill and curiosity, and to move in a way that’s attuned to their body – conscious of any limitations or restrictions, and mindful of its needs.

In addition to teaching, I mentored and assisted on the Triyoga Level 1 Teacher Training Programme 2021/2023, led by Anna Ashby and Tony Watson, and have recently completed a master’s in Creative Health at UCL.

I consider myself a lifelong learner; I am curious and passionate about health and wellbeing, embodied practices, community and social connection. I’m also a lover of art, photography, tennis, and all things creative, inspiring, mindful, and thought-provoking.
